Cherry Blossoms are Japanese in Origin, but their fleeting beauty now appears throughout the world. April is the time of their birth and May is when their display floats to the carpet of green beneath the trees. If your lucky and the wind hasn't carried them off, the petals transform the ground below into a cloud.
The photos below were taken in Brooklyn's Botanic Gardens where you will find one of the best mix of Cherry Blossom Trees. The initial set was taken on April 29th, when the trees were in full bloom. The last group was shot on May 6th, when you could lie on the fallen blossoms, close your eyes and float to heaven.
